Science of Sport has partnered up with El Paso Locomotive FC and GEAR UP to present the El Paso Locomotive FC Science of Soccer program. GEAR UP is a federally funded program by the Department of Education. This 6 or 7-year grant program helps increase the number of low-income students who are prepared to enter and succeed in post-secondary education. GEAR UP creates partnerships to supplement existing reform efforts, promote academic preparation, provide professional development, and continuously build capacity so that projects can be sustained beyond the term of the grant. Ysleta School District teachers (Math, Science, P.E., & STEM) and students were invited to be a part of this program. This program currently includes:

• 3rd through 8th grade level curriculum 
• Teacher Workshop and Teacher Kits
