Launched in 2017, the purpose of the MLB Science of Baseball program is to motivate boys and girls to excel in baseball/softball and academics through hands-on learning activities. Science of Sport developed the MLB Science of Baseball curriculu so that it is compatible with California and Louisiana state standards. Programming for these Youth Academies include:

• A 5-week summer camp for 60 3rd through 8th grade level students attend the facility and work on their academics and their player development skills. Each and every day students learn a new educational topic in the classroom and work on the player development component of that topic out on the field. Students work on projects that they take to display on the concourse at a MLB or Minor League Baseball game. 
• After School Programming for 10 weeks in the fall and the spring. 
• Teacher Workshops for local schools surrounding the MLB Youth Academies
• Community events representing the MLB Science of Baseball program
