Dallas Mavericks
Since 2018, the Dallas Mavericks Science of Basketball presented by Flowserve has taken over the Dallas Independent School District. The Mavs Science of Basketball program focuses on the math and science underlying the sport of basketball, from air pressure to free throw percentages, hydration and STEM occupations. The program currently includes:
- 5th and 6th grade level curriculum
- 20-lesson Science of Basketball curriculum
- Teacher Workshops and Teacher Kits for 40 DISD teachers
- Science of Basketball Student Camp for participating classrooms
- In-game worksheets available at American Airlines Center
